ORC FALL 2019 Week SIX: Laundry and Powder Room Reveal!

It’s officially reveal week for the Fall 2019 One Room Challenge and this one was definitely a CHALLENGE! In hind sight, I probably should have picked either just the laundry room or just the powder room. Between working full time, having a toddler, and other commitments… six weeks really wasn’t enough time for me to give both spaces the attention they needed. BUT you live and you learn, right?!

I wasn’t able to post this past Thursday with most of the other participants, but I worked super hard this past weekend to get everything finished up and photographed.

THE FULL SERIES:
Week 5 | Week 4 | Week 3 | Week 2 | Week 1

SO without further ado, here are my reveal photos!

UMM CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT WALLPAPER?! It wasn’t easy, but it was SO worth it!!

I ended up not having time to try and think of a way to make a shelf to hide the laundry hook ups, so I used fabric and stick on velcro I already had to make little fabric cord covers. They actually do a pretty good job of camouflaging the cords!

You can see here that just wrapping the black washing machine plug made it look more neat

I actually made this little drying rack using some brass poles I had leftover from my dining room chandelier and some IKEA shelf brackets I already had!

I LOVE this new ceiling light from Mitzi!

It’s unique + interesting, but it doesn’t compete with the wallpaper.

These door knobs from Emtek are such great quality, and make this small space feel that much more special!

I still have a beautiful electronic door knob to install, and I’m planning to put a post together on how to do that! I also ran into some problems when installing the new ceiling light in the powder room. The screws ended up being too short, so I need to replace those. Once that’s up, I’ll be sure to post updated photos!

Thank you SO much for following along with this makeover. And thank you to the amazing companies who provided me with products this season! I’m so grateful you trusted me and my vision!!

And thank you to Linda Weinstein, the entire One Room Challenge, and Better Homes & Gardens for putting this event together twice a year! It’s so much fun, always a challenge (in the best way), and full of some of the most supportive women I’ve met! I will always be so appreciative for this opportunity!

Please make sure you check out the reveals from the featured designers + other guest participants!!
