INTERIOR DESIGN STYLES | MID-CENTURY MODERN

Mid-century modern style furniture has become increasingly more popular in the last few years.  It is one of my personal favorites because of it's clean lines and uncomplicated feel.  I love that it's not too stuffy or serious.  Mid-century modern furniture has a 'less is more' type of look.  Common materials include: teak, walnut, plywood, and plastic.  Skinny, tapered legs are frequently found on chairs and tables.  Almost every home and furniture store offers plenty of options in this style- some more popular stores are West Elm and Target's new Project 62 line.  I like to combine this style with others in order to keep my house from looking like the set of Mad Men - it's easy to get carried away!  When I was creating the collage for this post, I could have went on and on with adding things!  Keep scrolling for some great inspiration of how to incorporate this style while still remaining current.
